Gomo Gomo Game Lodge is set on the unfenced border of the Kruger National Park in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve. The reserve is well known for its diversity of game and habitats and used to be home to the White Lion. Due to its rarity, the White Lion is now removed from its natural habitat to be protected. The lodge is situated on the banks of the Nhlaralumi River. Gomo Gomo Game Lodge has five thatched chalets and four East-African Style tents, and can accommodate up to eighteen guests. All accommodation is en-suite and is provided with bedside lamps, fans and power points. At night kerosene lamps are lit in the camp creating a romantic, peaceful atmosphere. The Chalets and tents are surrounded by beautiful, big Jackalberry and Leadwood trees keeping the site shaded during the hot summer days. Game drives are conducted by experienced rangers in the early mornings and afternoons. Enjoy a game walk with an experienced guide, and view the wonders of nature up close. Gomo Gomo Game camp if filled with a large variety of game and thriving birdlife, so there are always plenty of photo opportunities. Relax on the big viewing deck, while sipping a cocktail in the shade of an old Leadwood tree. The deck has a perfect view of the river and surrounding areas, ensuring that you won’t miss any activity near the water. A large plunge pool is available to cool off in. Breakfast and lunch are served on the deck under an open thatched roof lapa. Dinner can be enjoyed in front of an open log fire in the boma. All meals are prepared to the highest standard, and are a lovely blend of Africa with a Western influence. A peaceful atmosphere is created by the crackling sounds of the fire and guests can hear the night life silently whispering in the background. |
