Exeter River Lodge - Sabi Sand, South Africa

In the North Western part of the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve you will find the Exeter Private Game Reserve.  The reserve has unique sightings of leopard and these cats are getting used to the safari vehicles and will come close to the vehicles. Guests will enjoy morning and afternoon/evening open 4 x 4 Game Drives each day.  Exeter River Lodge is a South African Game Lodge which is situated on the banks of the Sand River.

This South African Game Lodge consists of eight suites, each with its own en-suite bathroom.  The suites have an outdoor shower as well, where a shower can be enjoyed in nature.  Each suite overlooks the river and guests can sit quietly on their own private deck watching the animals coming to the river.  Guests can even cool off in their private plunge pool while catching a glimpse of the animals quenching their thirst in the river.  The suites are air-conditioned and have under floor heating for the colder nights.  All windows and sliding doors have insect screening to keep the pests out.

All the guest areas over look the river, so guests can enjoy a book in the sitting room or quietly eat breakfast glancing every now and then at the river to see another thirsty animal coming by.  Lunch can be enjoyed under the giant sausage tree providing shade for the afternoon.  Dinner can be served in front of an open log fire in the open-air boma, under the starry skies and with the nightlife echoing in the background. 

Sumptuous cuisine, suiting all culinary tastes is prepared by the lodge's Executive Chef and can be enjoyed in the boma, in the dining room or even in the bush. Back in camp after the early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives, you will be spoilt by the highest standards of service and fine cuisine. Guests can buy their loved ones or themselves a souvenir at the safari boutique.This South African Game Lodge is situated in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park.
