Exeter Private Game Reserve is situated in the North Western part of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Exeter is famous for its leopard sightings, the leopards are used to the safari vehicles and therefore aren’t shy to get close to the vehicles. Leadwood Lodge gets its name from all the Leadwood trees that provide shade in the area. The lodge also offers sweeping views over the Sand River.
The lodge ensures privacy with only four suites on the camp ground. Each suite has an en-suite bathroom, sitting room and fireplace, which is perfect for honeymooners. With a thatched roof and glass front overlooking a private plunge pool, guests will feel the luxury combine with the bushveld to make Exeter Leadwood one of the premier safari lodges in the Sabi Sand. The pool is surrounded by a wooden deck and guests can choose to watch the local game either from the water or on the deck. An outside shower is provided at each suite and guests can take a shower in nature or under the starry skies, if they please, without anyone disturbing their privacy.
Game viewing can be done from the tree deck overlooking the river. The lodge also offers a swimming pool which is open to all the guests. Guests can unwind in the gymnasium situated in the camp or sip a cocktail in the bar. Dinner is served in a boma or on the open deck. Dinner is quietly enjoyed in front of a log fire while listening to the nightlife. Guests can also choose to dine in privacy on their suite deck.
