Here the Southern Right Whale can potentially be spotted in Walker Bay on the shores of which the Town of Hermanus is situated. These whales frequent the waters of South Africa's coastline during the months of June to November. They travel approximately 2000 km's from the Southern Ocean to give birth in the sheltered bays of our coastline. From Hermanus the tour traces the spectacular coastal route via the towns of Betties Bay and Rooi Els. En Route several stops are made at vantage points from where the Whales could be spotted. Day 3: Cape Town
The day is spent exploring one the world's most beautiful cities. Table Mountain, arguably the most famous natural landmark in Africa is first on the agenda. From Table Mountain one of the most impressive views of the world can be enjoyed - the Indian Ocean and the deep blue waters of the Atlantic and the Cape Peninsula which sinks away and allows these two great oceans to meet at Cape Point. We also visit the world famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens which had its conception when the mining magnate and philanthropist Cecil Rhodes donated the land to the people of South Africa. The garden is home to 4000 of the 18000 species of Flora which are found in South Africa and creates a most remarkable display. It is the memorial to one of Africa's greatest son’s (Cecil John Rhodes) from where sweeping views of the entire Cape Flats can be enjoyed where we end an unforgettable day. |

Day 4: Cape Town
An early breakfast is followed by a transfer (pick up at 05:45) to Gans Bay where Shark cage diving Adventure is enjoyed. A Boat trip (+- 20 min) will lead to the anchoring site close to Dyer Island. The specific Anchor site is chosen, depending on the weather, sea conditions, season and previous shark sightings. Upon reaching the desired location we start chumming which is followed by White shark observation and cage diving. The time for the first shark to appear however cannot be forecasted, and varies from a few minutes to several hours. When a shark is spotted, the crew monitors its behavior. If the shark relaxes, then the cage and divers can be lowered into the water. Snacks and drinks can be enjoyed on the boat throughout the whole trip. The cage diving experience is followed by a return journey to Cape Town.

Day 5: Winelands
After breakfast a forty-minute drive leads the tour into the heart of South Africa’s wine producing region where the stark contrast between vineyards and harsh mountains create the perfect backdrop to a tour of the historical town of Stellenbosch. The town is the oldest in South Africa after Cape Town, and is undoubtedly the most scenic and historically-preserved town in Southern Africa. Oak-lined streets next to water furrows compliment the many fine examples of elegant Cape Dutch, Victorian and Georgian architecture - all part of this unique "Town of Oaks".
The town, ideally situated in a magnificent mountain valley, boasts a mild Mediterranean climate.
The Stellenbosch Wine route is the oldest, largest and probably the most visited of the Southwest Cape’s wine routes. Many of the estates are very old, their gabled, whitewashed Cape Dutch Homesteads, rolling vineyards and shade-dappled grounds lovely beyond measure. We visit two of these fine estates where the art of wine making in South Africa is experienced first hand. A large variety of cultivars can be sampled and a specific cultivar which appeals to your palette is sure to be found.

Some time is devoted to exploring the town and its memorial to the French Huguenots. This memorial is set in lovely gardens against the backdrop of imposing mountains. Thereafter a visit is made to three of the fine wine estates in the Valley, renowned internationally for the exceptional quality of wines these fertile soils produce. All the noble cultivars and classic styles are on show here. From superb whites such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon and Chenin Blanc to the rich reds of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Merlot. During the tour of the wine estates, the wine making and aging process is explained in some detail by a local wine maker. Guests also have the opportunity of sampling a diversity of wines which are produced at each of the estates. The tour makes its way to the overnight destinationl during the late afternoon.
