The booking procedure set out below is a general guideline for the way bookings are normally done for standard safari and tour itineraries and packages. It should give some clarity as to the steps involved in the process.
Step1: Request Form
If you are interested in booking one of the standard safaris or tours offered by African Sky , please complete request form provided on the Contact Us page. The form will collect all of the necessary details from you.
Step 2: Reservation Confirmation and Deposit
Within 24 hrs of receiving the booking from you , African Sky Safaris and Tours will send you a reservation confirmation after we have booked all of the necessary accommodation and other services. The reservation confirmation serves as written proof of the services you have purchased from African Sky Safaris and Tours. Along with the reservation confirmation we will forward a credit card authorization form to you for the 20% deposit required. The credit card authorization form can be faxed to our office at ++27 12 809 1706. We do not exchange any credit card information over the internet.
Step 3: Final Payment
The final payment for your safari or tour is required 45 days prior to the start date of the safari or tour. African Sky will once again forward a credit card authorization to you which can be faxed to our office at
++ 27 12 809 1706
Step 4: Arrival in South Africa
Upon arrival in South Africa you will be met at the airport by an African Sky Safaris and Tours representative holding a sign containing your name. If for any reason you do not immediately see your representative, a cell phone number is provided on the reservation confirmation which can be used to contact them ( This rarely happens, but sometimes the airport is exceptionally busy and the two parties do not see each other immediately) .
From here you are in the care of an experienced guide if you have booked a guided safari or tour. If you have booked a self drive, the representative will go through the route with you and will present you with all of the necessary vouchers as far as car rental and accommodation are concerned.
