How do I know African Sky Safaris and Tours is a reputable company?
African Sky Safaris and Tours is a member of the South African Tourism Services Association ( SATSA), an industry organization dedicated to promoting ethical and sustainable tourism in South Africa. Should you require, we can also send you the contact details of clients who have traveled with African Sky Safaris and Tours, who will be able to give some idea of their experience in dealing with us.
How is my payment protected ?
We are merchants for visa, master and amex, and any payment made to us by credit card carries the standard insurance of the credit card company. We require a deposit of 20% upon booking the safari or tour and the balance payable no later than 45 days prior to arrival. Should the tour or safari be reserved less than 45 days prior to arrival the full amount is required upon booking. In all cases we will send you a credit card authorization form which states what the payment is for and the form is faxed to our office. NO CREDIT CARD information is exchanged via the internet.
Should I not rather book through an agent in my own country?
African Sky Safaris and Tours is not a travel agent. We operate all of the safaris and tours we promote, so you will be dealing directly with the company who will be responsible for all of the physical aspects surrounding your safari or tour i.e. all reservations, entrance fees, guides, transportation, regional flights etc. We are based in South Africa and have, over the years acquired an extensive knowledge of this vast land. In most cases we will be able to provide better advice to potential travelers as opposed to some agents who have never even been to our sub continent.

Dealing with a small safari/tour company that has an intimate knowledge of South Africa as well as certain areas of Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. We are committed to providing a personal service to each of our clients. We have been conducting quality safaris and tours in Southern Africa for seven years. All members of the management of African Sky were born in Southern Africa and have lived in Southern Africa most of their lives. |

Commitment to Quality
We are committed to providing quality tours and safaris at reasonable prices to traveling parties of between two and fourteen clients. We are not a tour operator who caters to the mass market for low priced, low quality tours and safaris. All of the hotels and lodges we include in our tours and safaris have been personally inspected by us and have been included because we deem them to be amongst the best in their class as far as the quality of service, location and price are concerned in the various areas. |

Registration and Insurance
A company that is a registered closed corporation in the Republic of South Africa and is a member of the South African Tourism Services Association
(SATSA).Our guides are registered for the areas in which they conduct safaris and tours and the vehicles we use carry the necessary permits as prescribed by South African Legislation. African Sky Safaris and Tours holds policies for both public liability as well as passenger liability. |
