How is my payment protected?
We are merchants for visa, master and amex, and any payment made to us by credit card carries the standard insurance of the credit card company. We require a deposit of 20% upon booking the safari or tour and the balance payable no later than 45 days prior to arrival. Should the tour or safari be reserved less than 45 days prior to arrival the full amount is required upon booking. In all cases we will send you a credit card authorization form which states what the payment is for and the form is faxed to our office. NO CREDIT CARD information is exchanged via the internet. Should I not rather book through an agent in my own country?
African Sky Safaris and Tours is not a travel agent. We operate all of the safaris and tours we promote, so you will be dealing directly with the company who will be responsible for all of the physical aspects surrounding your safari or tour i.e. all reservations, entrance fees, guides, transportation, regional flights etc. We are based in South Africa and have, over the years acquired an extensive knowledge of this vast land. In most cases we will be able to provide better advice to potential travellers as opposed to some agents who have never even been to our sub continent.
