Umlani Bush Camp

Umlani Bush Camp is situated in the famous Timbavati Private Nature Reserve which borders on the Kruger National Park. Timbavati Private Nature reserve is home to the big five and many other wild life species. Open 4 x 4 game drives are conducted each day in search of these extraordinary animals.

Umlani Bush Camp is the place to visit when you’ve had enough of the rush of city life. The camp can accommodate a total of sixteen guests in seven reed and thatched huts. Some huts can sleep up to four people which are perfect for a family. All huts are en-suite and are provided with mosquito nets and crisp, white bed linen. Each hut also has a shower outside, fueled by wood fires. The camp is lit by candles and oil lamps as there is no electricity and this creates a lovely, romantic atmosphere. This is truly a bush experience the way most remember it.

Guests can unwind by cooling off in the swimming pool or lazing around in the double hammocks surrounding the swimming pool. Alternatively, enjoy a morning game drive or join the ranger for a late afternoon drive, to view the game in their natural habitat. Rangers are always eager to take a morning bush walk, or enjoy a short walk after breakfast with an experienced ranger. The lodge also provides a bush bar where you can enjoy your favorite drink or enjoy it on the deck overlooking the river bed. Guests of the Umlani Bush Camp are sure to spot numerous animals coming to the waterhole to quench their thirst or cool off.

Alternatively guests can go to the tree house and relax on the comfortable pillows and blankets provided. The tree house overlooks a dam, and guests can enjoy a drink from the cooler box provided. Before dinner, guests can socialize in front of a log fire in the boma, while sipping on their favorite drink. At Umlani Bush Camp, a candle lit dinner is served in the dinning room or on the open river bed with caldron fires surrounding the area.
