Tshukudu

Set in a crater of an extinct volcano is the malaria-free Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The park is adjacent to the famous Sun City Resort.  Pilanesberg is set around a beautiful large lake called the Mankwe Dam, meaning place of the Leopard and impressive landscapes consists of rocky outcrops, open grasslands and wooden valleys thickets. The luxurious Tshukudu Bush Lodge, a Tswana word for rhinoceros, is built on a hilltop with spectacular views of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

Luxury and comfort comes together in the Tshukudu Bush Lodge's six luxury cottages. Each cottage has its own private balcony with magnificent views of the bushveld. The cottages consist of a bedroom, en-suite bathroom and open plan lounge with fireplace to create a warm atmosphere when relaxing. Tshukudu Bush Lodge is the perfect setting to get away from it all. There are no television and radio, just the calming sounds of nature. Guests can take a relaxing bubble bath or shower while looking upon the beauty of nature.

Tshukudu Bush Lodge can only be accessed by a shuttle running between the lodge and Bakabung Bush Lodge, making it even more of a quiet, secluded, getaway spot. The Lodge provides guests with daily open vehicle game drives, in search of the legendary big five and many more astonishing game and bird life. Tshukudu Bush Lodge offers a rock plunge pool for relaxation and a cool haven from the hot summer sun. A full English brunch is served to all guests after they have worked up an appetite during the early morning game drive. Later in the afternoon a traditional high tea, accompanied with snacks, is served. Enjoy a delicious sundowner under the stars, before gathering around a blazing campfire for a marvelous five course dinner, accompanied by a selection of wines found on the premises.
