Skukuza

Skukuza is the main camp of the Kruger National Park and is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. It is named after the Tsonga name for James Stevenson-Hamilton, the first warden of the park.

The Stevenson-Hamilton Memorial Museum houses many interesting artifacts - of much renown is the knife that ranger Harry Wolhuter used to single-handedly slay a lion and save his own life.

Activities include riverside walks, wilderness hikes and game drives, as well as a 9 hole golf course.
