Sandibe Safari Lodge

Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge is found in the southeast of the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, in the centre of the Okavango Delta.  Known for its waterways and numerous wildlife species, the Okavango is also home to the Big Five.  Sandibe Safari Lodge overlooks the clear waters of the Okavango Delta and its floodplains.

Eight thatched safari cottages in a shady forest provide guests with accommodation at Sandibe Safari Lodge.  Each room is en-suite and has an outside shower.  The cottages are decorated in a mixture of ochre and tactile textures, with a screen wall opening onto extraordinary views of the Okavango Delta wetlands and savanna.  The cottages also have a private raised deck overlooking the Santanadibe River.

Sandibe offers specialized safaris, with highly skilled game rangers. Whatever might be of interest to you, whether it be game hunting, game watching, bird watching or interested in scuba diving, we have someone to assist you in your favorite activity. We also provide family safaris where the focus is on entertaining the whole family of all age groups with game drives, and fun filled activities for children as young as five. We also offer the beach and bush combination. With the Indian Ocean being so close, it is a wonderful experience to be able to live in the bush and visit the beach for a quiet, relaxing day , surfing or lying on the sand. There are golf courses scattered all round this area and it is wonderful to combine your safari time with a round of golf in between days. There are also very special guided safaris, where a unique safari experience in the form of an adventure, tailor made for you, is conducted by our specialized guide.

In the middle of the forest is a swimming pool where guests of the Sandibe Safari Lodge can unwind in the cool waters.  Under the trees is a sitting and dining area.  Lit by candles and lanterns, guests enjoy a scrumptious meal in the boma at night, or guests can organize an intimate dinner on their own private deck.  An incredible bush picnic can also be arranged.  The guest areas are equipped with cushions scattered around for a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.  Unwind in one of the hammocks surrounding the pool or cool off in the pool.  All guest areas can be enjoyed with the wild life grazing just meters away.
