Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, and ranked amongst the top 3 lodges in Zambia, is The River Club. The Chalets are fashioned from timber with thatched roofing and a completely open front, so you may enjoy an uninterrupted view of the magnificent Zambezi River. Every chalet is fitted with an en-suite bathroom, positioned in such a way that the guests may enjoy the surrounding views from the comfort of a relaxing bubble bath. Just across the river is the Zambezi National Park, so spotting animals from you own private deck is a common occurrence. The gardens surrounding the main house are beautifully kept and spacious. The Edwardian styled main house has a dining room, where they serve the meals, a comfortable lounge to relax in and a veranda, that overlook the garden and river.
There are various activities on offer for all guests whether you prefer adventure or relaxing beside the cliff side pool. The River Club is only half an hour’s drive away from the mighty Victoria Falls, a magnificent sight to behold. Enjoy a game drive around the resort with Wilderness Safaris, accompanied by an experienced guide, which will take you to all the prime spots to view wild animals and birds. Other exiting things to do around the area is white river rafting, bungee jumping, abseiling, or taking an exhilarating ride over the Victoria falls in a helicopter. Enjoy a safari on the back of an African Elephant, and take a tour of either one of the African Villages or the Town of Livingstone. For the advent golfer, there is the Historic Livingstone Royal Golf course and County Club, which is open to visitors.
When it comes to mealtimes, guests are spoilt with a large variety to choose from. Breakfast is normally served on the wide veranda, where as lunch is normally served in the lunch green gardens.
