Ongava Lodge

Being one of Africa’s biggest game reserves, Etosha National Park is Namibia’s premier wildlife destination. The Park has fabulous sightings of magnificent animals like the Gemsbok, Lion, and Black and White Rhinos. The Park is also one of the few National Parks where both the Black and White Rhino can be sighted. In the southern section of the Etosha National Park is a reserve called Ongava Game Reserve. The Ongava Lodge is a luxurious lodge in this reserve.

Fourteen en-suite chalets made of rock with thatched roofs is provided for the guests of Ongava Lodge. The camp has undisturbed vies of the plains below. Take a bath in style with views over the African wilderness or take in the breath taking views of the Ongava Game Reserve from the chalets private deck. The chalets also include general amenities provided for the comfort of the guests. Spotting scopes for viewing game is set up at the main camp, or make a turn at the reference library or delightful curio shop.

The Ongava Lodge camp grounds are situated close to the top of the hill providing spectacular views. Guests can take in the view form the split level lounge, dining room and pub area.  Scrumptious buffet style dinners are served at the Ongava Lodge either in the main dining area under thatch with magnificent views over the floodlit waterhole, or under the stars on the wooden deck. Breakfasts are also served in both English continental and buffet style. In the Okaukuejo area of the Etosha National Park, guests’ enjoy daily 4 x 4 game drives or guided walks are provided in the Ongava Game Reserve. After the morning drive, lunch is served and after a nice rest, guests may enjoy some tea and snacks. Sunset is celebrated with a game drive on the Ongava property with a sundowner in hand. Guests can also visit the hides, in order to get a closer view of the wildlife on the reserve. Take a plunge in the lovely swimming pool to cool off at the end of the day.
