Ntshondwe Camp

Ntshondwe Camp is the main camp of the Itala Game Reserve, situated in northern KwaZulu-Natal. It is an area of amazing geological diversity. Some of the oldest rock formations in the world are found here, dating back 3 000 million years.

Ntshondwe Camp is virtually invisible until the moment of arrival. It is ingeniously camouflaged against a plateau at the foot of the cliffs after which it is named.

Ntshondwe's 39 thatched chalets blend into a lush setting of acacias, wild figs, cabbage trees and other indigenous flora. There are self catering as well as non self catering units. All units are serviced daily.

The swimming poool is built around a giant rock and the camp has a fully licensed restaurant, a bar and an open game viewing deck which overlooks a small pan.
