Lion Sands Ivory Lodge

Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is situated in the Southern section of the Sabie Sands Game Reserve, and is the only private game reserve that has access to the Sabie River. The Southern section is known for its high diversity of wildlife throughout the year. Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is also close to the Kruger National Park with animals running freely between the two reserves, quenching their thirst in the Sabie River.

Decorated in a theme of ebony and ivory, Lion Sands Ivory Lodge consists of 6 luxurious suites. Each suite has an open plan bathroom as well as an outdoor shower so that you can experience a shower in nature. Guests can relax in their own heated plunge pool or sit in front of a log fire in their suites own private lounge. The suites have air conditioning, an overhead fan for those warm summer days, a safe (to keep personal belongings safe) and each bed is covered by a mosquito net, for protection against mosquitos.  The suites are at least 20 meters apart ensuring each ones privacy.

At the Lion Sands Ivory Lodge there is an island deck over the water where guests can relax and watch the bird and wildlife from nearby.  There are also other viewing decks on offer if guests want to do some game viewing in their own time. Guests can relax in the Lalamuka Health Spa or work up a sweat in the gymnasium. For guests who appreciate a good glass of wine, pay a visit to the wine cellar where bottles of famous South African wines are stocked. A cocktail can be enjoyed in front of a crackling fire in the private bar or guests can relax with a book in the library lounge. There is a curio shop on the grounds where guests can buy a memorable to take home.  Dinner is served indoors or outdoors in the boma with a log fire, bringing you closer to the wild outdoors and making the evening even more peaceful.
