Kings Camp is situated in the northeastern corner of the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve sharing an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. This allows a diversity of animal life, including the Big Five, to roam freely between the two reserves.  The Kings Camp Lodge faces an open savanna plain with a water hole, frequently visit by animals to quench their thirst.

Kings Camp has 11 thatched colonial suites. Each suite has its own bathroom with a shower and Victorian bath as well as an outdoor shower for those who would like to take a shower in nature.  The suites have air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, a full stocked mini bar and mosquito nets to give guests a sound nights sleep. Guests can relax in the hammock, provided on their suites own private verandah. Because this is a reserve, the main focus is always to protect the environment but still maintain the highest service possible. With a very romantic atmosphere and colonial style, this is a location for game viewing in a true wilderness heaven with all the luxury of modern life.

Guests can enjoy nature and do some game viewing on the Kings Camp’s viewing deck, lounge or in the bar while sipping on their favorite drink. Alternatively guests can relax in the pool overlooking the waterhole. Breakfast and lunch is served in the dining room, which has spectacular views of the bush. Kings Camp offers guided daily 4 x 4 game drives twice a day, in the mornings- and late afternoons. The crackling sounds of the log fire and the stunning views of the starry sky enhanced the atmosphere at dinner in the Boma and bring guests closer to the nightlife.  A range of spa treatments is on offer as well as a fully equipped gym. The lodge also has a library with a variety of books to choose from and a curio shop to buy souvenirs for the loved ones.
