Khwai River Lodge

In the heart of the Okavango Delta is the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Forming part of the Moremi Wildlife reserve and overlooking the Khwai River floodplains is the Khwai River Lodge. The lodge's luxury tents are constructed on raised wooden platforms and have large private decks. The Tents are all covered with a large thatched roof to keep them cool and dry. Guests can laze around on the easy chairs or hammock provided on each private deck, watching the wildlife passing by. All luxury tents have an en-suite bathroom and have all the facilities that a normal suite offers, for example air conditioning, a writing table as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

Khwai River Lodge offers a heated swimming pool for guests who enjoy swimming. Delicious cuisine is served in the covered dining room or in the privacy of the guest's suite's private deck. Relax in front of a blazing fire in either an indoor or outdoor area. Stargazing is a must and is enhanced with the telescope provided for guests use. Because game drives start quite early in the morning, there are light breakfasts available, served in your tent before departure. The restaurant will even prepare a picnic basket to take with on the game drive. The kitchen caters for all tastes all day long, and no one will leave the table hungry. Enjoy the Spa facilities or have a treatment right there in the privacy of your own tent. The lodge also has a gym.

Large concentrations of mammals are seen regularly, often close to or passing through camp. The lodge offers game drives in the morning and late afternoon. The Khwai River also boasts a permanent swamp and a trip up the lagoon is well worth the effort as the area is home to a large diversity of species.
