Jack's Camp
On the fringes of the vast Makgadikgadi pans, lies one of the most remote African Safari camps. Jack's camp is set beneath palm trees on a site which was once the largest inland sea in Africa, and is now an expansive desert landscape that gets transformed once a year after the first rains have fallen. Large herds of wildebeest and zebra migrate to the area in search of the sweet grasses which transforms the landscape into a lush green wonderland.
Accommodation at Jack's Camp is provided in ten stylish tents, each with an en suite bathroom. The tents are decorated with Persian carpets and each has an indoor as well as an outdoor shower. Cotton sheets adorn the beds and seem like an incredible luxury in such a remote setting. The central section of this camp features a dining and lounge area as well as a swimming pool, which is arguably the most remote pool in Africa.
Activities at Jack's camp include quad bike rides on the pan as well as game viewing. San bushmen guide clients to the fringes of the pan where the antics of a group of local meerkat is sure to provide clients with an informative nature experience. The pans attract a great number of flamingo during the wet season, a spectacle which is sure to be remembered by all who visit the camp during this time of year.
