Elephant Plains Lodge

The family owned Elephant Plains Game reserve, is a luxurious yet comfortable lodge, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Situated on the Manyeleti dry riverbed, the reserve overlooks a permanent water hole that is a popular gathering place for all wildlife. Provision has been made for a maximum of 24 guests at a time in the six luxury chalets on the premises, of which each has its own, private veranda.  The Elephant Plains Lodge also boasts a deluxe honeymoon suite. It has its own private splash pool and
Sala. This is the ideal place to just relax and enjoy the romance of Africa. All rooms are decorated with the look and feel of Africa, while still maintaining absolute elegance and luxury.

At Elephant Plains Lodge, mealtimes are a delicious taste explosion of both local and international dishes, prepared with care and stylishly presented.  Breakfast and lunch is normally served in either the dining room or on the deck, where you can taste, see and smell everything Africa has to offer. Dinners are usually served outdoors around a cozy campfire in the boma.  This allows the visitors to enjoy a meal and the sights and sounds of Africa, while dining under the stars.

The Elephant Plains Lodge also boasts an in-house spa, which offers a wide variety of treatments. The view from the spa is magnificent, and adds to the relaxation of the spa environment. The Lodge also has conference facilities, but they do require that the whole lodge be booked out for this purpose. Another facility on offer is a gymnasium, with basic fitness equipment. Elephant Lodge also offers two game drives a day, a morning drive and a late afternoon drive. Each drive lasts about 3 hours and refreshments are served on both.  You will be accompanied on your drive by an experienced game ranger and Shangaan tracker, who will share their extensive knowledge of Africa, from an open top Land rover. During the afternoon drive, guests may enjoy a sundowner and a breathtaking sunset, before setting off into the bush, armed with a spotlight, for the viewing of nocturnal animals, before returning to camp for dinner. Bush walks after breakfast can be an educational and stimulating way to start the day, and either the game ranger or a professional tracker, will accompany guests on the walk.  For the little ones, a mini bush walk inside the camp can be organized, so the parents may relax, while the ranger entertain and educate the kids.
