African Sky Safaris and Tours was established in 1998 as a closed corporation in the Republic of South Africa ( Cc No 98/24392/23) and has successfully acted as a South African Tour Operator since then. . Our office is based in Pretoria, the capital of South Africa, from where we co-ordinate safaris and tours which are conducted by us in all corners of Southern Africa. Our tour and safari guides are based in various areas of Southern Africa from Cape Town in South Africa to Livingston in Zambia.

We strive to bring you a unique and memorable Southern African experience through our expertise and our commitment to ensuring each of our clients depart from Southern Africa with memories of a wonderful experience in one of the world’s most remarkable areas. We are members of the Southern African Tourism Services Association (membership number 1145) , and subscribe to their code of conduct. Our management team currently consists of four members. Each member of our management team has years of experience in the Southern African Tourism Industry.

Our Office Team

Riaan Viljoen ( General Manager)
A graduate of the University of Pretoria’s school for economic and business sciences has nine years of experience in the Southern African tourism industry and has spent two years in Europe and the United States. Here he acquired an understanding of the perceptions and expectations of foreign visitors to South Africa. He founded African Sky Safaris and Tours in 1998 and has since established the company as a provider of quality tourism services in South and Southern Africa.

Carel Loubser ( Marketing Manager)
Graduated from the University of Pretoria with a bachelors degree in tourism management and has been involved with all aspects surrounding the management of the company for the past six years. He has recently assumed the position as marketing manager and is very capable of advising clients and agents about all aspects surrounding travel in the countries of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Mozambique.

Analize Loubser ( Operations Manager)
Annelize Loubser Graduated with a degree in tourism management from the University of South Africa. She has since been involved with all aspects surrounding the operating of tours and safaris in South and Southern Africa. From legal requirements surrounding areas such as registration of guides, transportation, cross border permits and statutory insurance requirements to the scheduling of itineraries and the management of guides and itinerary flow,

Rentia Grobbelaar ( Financial Manager)
With over 20 years of accounting experience, Rentia is tasked with ensuring that the numbers add up to make certain that we will be providing tourism services in Southern Africa for many years to come.Her attention to detail and the accuracy with which she conducts all her tasks adds greatly to the success of tour and safari operations.

Bill Gibbons ( United States Representative)
Bill Gibbons is a retired US Air Force Officer and Airline Captain, who after traveling with African Sky as a client decided to take a more active role in African Tours and Safaris. He has been traveling for more than 50 years and possesses an extensive knowledge of all aspects pertaining to his hobby and passion.

Bill is more of a friend than an agent and can be contacted for detailed information about our operation. He is able to offer advice when planning your holiday in South Africa

Andre Hamman ( Head Guide)
Andre is an experienced tour guide who has been leading safaris in South Africa for many a year. He is well versed in the ways of the wild and has an exceptional knowledge of most natural and cultural aspects of our country.

Clients who have had the opportunity to travel with him have always been very positive in their evaluation of his abilities and knowledge.

Amanda Hamman (Tour Guide)
Amanda grew up in Zimbabwe and acquired a love for Africa, her wildlife and her children at an early age. This passion motivated her reading of Anthropology at the University of Pretoria.

Amanda is a highly skilled safari guide who has years of experience in the conducting of safaris and tours in South Africa. Her love of the cultures of Africa coupled with her background in Anthropology will ensure you depart from Southern Africa enriched by the knowledge and experience of a true professional tour guide..

Hennie du Toit (Tour Guide)
Hennie has spent much of his life in the African wilderness and has a great understanding of the fauna and flora of our sub continent. He has led a large number of safaris throughout the years and is sure to add value to your experience. The Kruger National Park is his speciality, and it would be rare to encounter another person who has such an intimate knowledge of this area and its inhabitants.

Andrew Harvey (Tour Guide)
Andrew gave up a lucrative career in banking to pursue his passion as a tour guide in South and Southern Africa. He has for several years been leading tours in South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. A specialist in wildlife photography and an expert on the plant and animal life of the region. Andrew has also been actively involved in guiding in the Cape and Garden route area and has an exceptional knowledge of the history or South Africa and the cultures of her children.

Fran Fagyas (Tour Guide)
Fran has been involved with guiding in South Africa since 1997 and has on numerous occasions been involved as an assessor on the panel of Satour (the government body who used to accredit new guides) when evaluating new guides to asses whether they are qualified to be registered.

She has an intimate knowledge of all aspects surrounding South and Southern Africa from the history of the region to unique insight into the different areas of the sub continent and its wildlife. Her knowledge has proven and still proves to be invaluable when compiling itineraries and ensuring all our guides have the knowledge and experience levels required to enrich the traveling experience of our clients.

George Kellerman (Tour Guide)
A native Capetonian, George is an expert on the Western Cape, her history and attractions. He has been actively involved in the South African Tourism industry for more than seven years.

George has successfully led a great number of safaris and tours and the feedback from his tours bear testament to a caring and knowledgeable person who contributes much to the services with which he is involved. In addition to the regular safari and tours led by George, he is also a very capable golf tour guide.

Louis Geyser (Tour Guide)
Louis is a trained mathematician , who's passion for Southern Africa has led to his training as a safari and tour guide. Golf is a game that has frustrated and delighted him for many years. He is an expert on the courses of the country and has successfully led many a golf tour.

Louis' exceptional people skills combine with his diverse knowledge base to make him a very capable safari and tour guide who will certainly add value to your South African experience.

Kobus de Jonge (Tour Guide)
Kobus is a national guide who has for some years also been involved with the training of young guides and with ensuring that their skills meet statutory requirements. His knowledge and experience is sure to add value to any safari or tour he leads.

Kobus is a trained medic who ensures all of our other guides are proficient in the application of first aid - a necessary pre-caution. He is also an expert safari guide who's knowledge of the fauna and flora of South Africa is seldom rivaled.

Mary Anne Finlay (Tour Guide)
Mary Anne has eight years of experience in the Southern African Tourism industry. She has a three year national diploma in travel and tourism and was involved with the training of students in the subject of nature guiding for more than a year.

She has been working as a full time tour guide since 2004 and has in this time led tours and safaris in the counties of South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana and Namibia as well as Zambia.
